LNG solutions for offgrid customers

Fully guaranteed LNG supply

Elenger is the biggest liquefied natural gas supplier in the Baltic region.

Liquefaction of natural gas makes it is possible to supply natural gas to areas and properties that are not served by gas pipelines. We operate a fleet of nine LNG semi-trailers and have extensive experience with various sources of supply, logistics and technological solutions, guaranteeing a 100% supply security.

LNG is transported by ship, rail or road in cryogenic tanks and is re-gasified at destination. The obtained gas is even cleaner than conventional natural gas because prior to liquefaction process, water, CO2, H2S and hydrocarbons are removed.

We help our customers to create necessary LNG infrastructure.

Supply models

Basic supply means that Elenger involvement is limited to LNG delivery only.

Full supply means that Elenger takes the responsibility for LNG delivery, construction and maintenance of the LNG station on customer’s territory.

Structure of the station

For receival and regasification of liquefied natural gas, an LNG station is installed at customer’s property, including container and steamers.

  1. Cryogenic tank trailer
LNG is delivered to the station in special cryogenic tank trailers where the gas will be held under low pressure. Average trailer holds up to 18,5 tons of LNG which gives 25 600 m3 of gaseous natural gas upon re-gasification.
  2. Cryogenic containers
The design of the storage container allows storing the fuel in low temperatures up to -162 degrees. Containers come in different sizes but the average is around 40-60 m3. One station can hold several containers.
  3. Regasification unit
  4. Natural gas regulating station
Lowering the pressure of natural gas before it reaches the consumption point.
  5. Odorising
Natural gas is odourless. Adding odour to the gas will help detect potential leakages more easily.
  6. Plant boiler room

Setting-up process of the LNG station

The design and construction of customer’s LNG station may take several months. In order to enable customer start using natural gas as soon as possible and so save costs, we provide a temporary mobile solution.

A portable LNG station is transported to customer’s property for temporary use until a stationary solution is being constructed and completed.

What is LNG?

LNG, or liquefied natural gas, is produced by cooling ordinary natural gas to about -160 degrees centigrade.

Once liquefied natural gas needs only 1/600 the storage space it does in its gaseous state. Liquefaction of natural gas makes transportation and storage easy and economical. That means it’s possible to supply the areas and properties that are not served by gas pipelines.

Liquefied natural gas is transported by ship, rail or road in cryogenic tanks. At the destination it is re-gasified. The obtained gas is even cleaner than conventional natural gas because prior to liquefaction process, water, CO2, H2S and hydrocarbons are removed.

When using LNG for heating or in production, the storage and re-gasification costs must be taken into account. Therefore it fits better for energy solutions for bigger properties.
